My Challenge Coin
Features

Everything it does, in plain words.

For parents who read the manual before the first coin: every part of the app, what it’s for, and what it costs.

Get started

One finished challenge, one coin.

Coins are the whole economy. They can’t be bought or given away, only earned.

Challenges you write

A perfect score, a match won, a piano piece learned by heart. You decide what counts. The coin comes when it’s finished, never for trying.

Personal records

For anything with a number: a 50 m time, push-ups, a long jump. Each new best is saved with how much it improved, and that gain never changes later.

A photo and a story

Every coin can keep a photo, a few lines and where it happened. A few months in, the balance doubles as a scrapbook.

A balance nobody can fudge

Coins earned minus coins spent, worked out by the server. Nobody edits their own balance.

Ideas for day one

New families get three one-tap starters: a perfect score at school, a match won, a push-up record. Nothing is added until you tap one.

AttemptsPro

Count the tries it took before the win, and watch a challenge get easier over the months.

You set the prices.

Rewards are your house rules, written down in the app. Kids decide when to spend.

Screen time with a timer

Spending a time reward starts a countdown. Pause it for dinner, resume after, and everyone can see when time is up.

Any reward, any price

An hour of screen time for one coin, a later bedtime, a toy for seven merits, or pocket money. New accounts start with a few examples to change.

Every spend on record

What was spent, when, and on what. No more arguing about last Tuesday.

Merits count the effort.

Chores, homework, practice. The work that doesn’t end in a win still adds up to something.

Your own kinds of merit

Respect, focus, helping out. Name them, pick an emoji, and log one with a tap.

Which one, not just how many

Each merit can carry a short note, so four focus points become four named lessons.

Kept apart from coins

Merits never turn into coins. They buy their own rewards, at prices you choose.

Training sessionsPro

Log practice that isn’t a challenge, like a swim session or an hour of scales. It shows in the feed for the family to cheer.

A season is the term, planned once.

Swimming on Tuesdays at 18:30, from September to December. Enter it once and the app keeps track.

Weekly classes

Add the day and time of each class, the place, and which child it’s for.

Attended or missed

After each class the app asks how it went. Attending can earn a coin, so showing up counts too.

In your family calendar

Subscribe from Apple or Google Calendar. It shows the activity, the address and the time, never a child’s name.

A goal, and a warning

Point the season at a grading or an exam. Two weeks before it ends, the app reminds you it’s time to re-register.

Started weeks ago? Fine.

Enter a term that’s already running and catch up on the past classes in one go.

When the club moves the class

Change the pool, the day or the time. Past sessions stay exactly as they were.

Some wins are bigger than a coin.

A first belt, a graduation, a race finished. A milestone keeps the moment.

Photos, a date, the coach’s words

Several photos, the day it happened, and a quote worth keeping.

An emblem in the belt’s colour

Give a milestone a colour and a symbol, so a black belt doesn’t look like a first swim badge.

A link, when you choose

Turn a milestone into a page for the grandparents. They can leave a note without making an account.

Coins as a prizePro

Attach coins or merits to a milestone, as the prize for getting there.

Built for the whole family.

Parents run the accounts, kids use them, grandparents cheer.

An account for each child

No email or password needed for a child. Switch between accounts from yours.

A second parent

Invite a co-parent to help manage the children’s accounts.

Followers you approve

Grandparents and coaches can ask to follow a child. A parent approves each request first.

Bravos and comments

Family and followers react to every win in the feed.

A Saturday email for grandparents

Followers can get a short summary of the week by email, and turn it off any time.

Interests and filters

Tag things as Swimming or Science, then look at one area at a time, over the past week, month or year.

The Path Ahead

A private list of the schools, camps and goals you imagine for each child. Only parents see it, and it’s never a checklist.

Private by default.

Your kids’ photos stay private to your family and approved followers.

Family and approved followers only

Nothing is public until you make one win public, and a public win needs a photo you chose.

No ads, no trackers

We don’t sell data, show ads or embed analytics.

A town name, never coordinates

Location is optional, asked only when you tap it, and stored as a place name.

Take your data with you

Download everything as spreadsheets or a single file, from the app, at any time.

Delete means delete

Deleting the account removes every profile, photo and public link.

On iPhone, iPad and any browser.

One account, wherever your family is.

Questions parents ask

Is it free?

Yes. Create an account and use it with your children at no cost. The table above shows exactly where the free plan stops.

What’s a season?

A term of a weekly activity: swimming on Tuesdays from September to December, say. You enter it once, the app asks after each class whether your child went, and the classes can go straight into your calendar.

Do I have to use your prices?

No. One coin for an hour of screen time is what works in our house. Change any price, add your own rewards, or leave screen time out entirely.

Who sees my children’s photos?

Your family, and followers a parent has approved. A single win becomes public only when you choose to share it.

Does my child need an email address?

No. A parent creates and manages each child’s account, with no email or password.

Is there an Android app?

Not yet. The full app runs in any browser at mychallengecoin.app/web, Android phones included.

What happens to our data if we leave?

Download all of it from the app, then delete the account. Deleting removes every profile, photo and public link.
