Got questions?

Short answers. No jargon. Honestly written for someone who’s 12.

The Basics
01What is a challenge coin?
A challenge coin is a real thing. Soldiers, firefighters, and athletes carry them to say: “I was there. I did the thing.” In this app, you earn a digital coin every time you finish a challenge. Not start it. Finish it. No coins for trying. Only for doing.
02What is a merit point?
Merit points track the effort you put in: extra push-ups, extra practice, a book finished. They don’t earn coins. They’re a record of your work, not just your results. A coach or parent logs them. You watch them add up.
03What is a life milestone?
Some moments are too big for a challenge log. A graduation. A first belt. A competition you never thought you’d enter. A life milestone is where you save those. Photo, date, a few words. It stays on your profile forever.
04What is an interest?
Interests are tags, like Martial Arts or Science, that connect everything. Tag yourself, tag a challenge, tag a training. Then filter your My Coins tab to see only your wins in that area. Think of them as smart folders.
05What is The Path Ahead?
The Path Ahead is your parent’s private wishlist for your future: schools, sports, camps, goals they dream for you. It’s not a checklist. It’s not a grade. It’s more like a dream board. You don’t see it in the app. It’s between them and the future.
Using the app
06How do I edit a challenge, merit, or life milestone?
Tap the ⋮ menu on the card you want to edit. If you created it, you’ll see an Edit option there. You can’t edit something someone else created, only your own stuff.
07How do I edit my profile?
Open the My Coins tab (the coin icon at the bottom of the screen). Tap Edit Profile near the top. Change your name, avatar photo, location, and interests from there.
08How do I follow someone?
Tap their name anywhere in the feed to open their profile. Hit Follow. Their completions, trainings, and milestones will start showing in your feed. You can unfollow from the same place any time.
09How does my coin balance work?
Simple math: coins earned − coins spent = your balance. You earn one coin per completed challenge. You spend them on rewards, either ones your parent set up or ones you create yourself.
10What’s a personal record?
Record-type challenges track a number: fastest time, most push-ups, farthest jump. Every time you beat your previous best, the app saves the delta (how much you improved, e.g. ↑ 3 seconds faster). That number never changes, even if you break the record again later.
11What’s the difference between a Parent and a Coach?
A Parent can create and manage child sub-accounts, log merits for kids, and set up spending rewards. A Coach, Relative, or Friend can follow, cheer, and log merits, but can’t manage sub-accounts or spend coins.
12Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to Settings in the app. Tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, coins, photos, and everything else. It cannot be undone. You can also email us at privacy@mychallengecoin.app and we’ll handle it for you.
One more thing
13Who is the Wolverine?
His name is Buzz. He’s our mascot, and the choice was intentional. A wolverine is pound-for-pound one of the toughest animals alive. It punches way above its weight, never backs down, and does the hard work when no one is watching. That’s the whole point of this app.

Buzz shows up on the logo, when you log a completion, and anywhere else that matters. He’s the reminder that coins are earned, not given.
